Abstract In recent years, the body and how it manages the modern consumer society has become one of the major issues in social and cultural studies. The aim of this study was to determine the level of body management and its related factors among youth in Yazd city. Survey method was employed in this study. The statistical population was young people aged 18-35 years old in Yazd, 384 of whom were selected by multistage cluster sampling method. The results showed that there was a significant and positive relationship between body management and social acceptance of the body, sex capital, socio-economic status and gender and a significant and negative relationship between body image and body management. The multiple regression results showed these five variables explained 36.1% of the variance body management, in which the social acceptance of the body has played a maximum role in explaining the body management variable.
