Abstract This study explored the political activism of women during the 2022 protests in Iran through a phenomenological approach, based on in-depth interviews with 21 female participants in Tehran. The analysis identified ten key themes: resistance to gendered domination, digital mobilization, diverse civil resistance strategies, protest discourse construction, communicative cohesion, resource mobilization, street-centered activism, rejection of religious authority, familial solidarity in the civic sphere, and emergency support networks. These were integrated into the overarching theme of a “networked movement of resistance,” characterized by the fusion of creative organization and physical presence. The findings reveal that the intersection of digital and on-the-ground activism, tactical creativity, and the use of social capital underpin the continuity and effectiveness of women’s political engagement. This form of activism reflects a shift toward everyday, decentralized action that challenges dominant power structures. Enhancing multilayered support systems can further sustain and empower this evolving mode of collective action.

Abstract The main goal of this article is to study how Iranian society crossed from the millennium utopian ideas towards liberal utopian ideas. The ideas which helped form the sociology of the Constitutional Revolution. To this end, we reviewed four types of Karl Mannheim's ideals, which are about the formation of a new utopia from the late middle ages to the new and modern era. The research data was obtained from the Iranian’s itineraries from their trips to the European countries. The results were analyzed using the phenomenology approach. They indicate that the Qajarid’s itineraries to Europe have the elements of a new and liberal utopia and played a role opposed ideologically to that era’s social structures. Such ideas and works could lay a foundation for the new utopia by laying aside the Babieh millennium utopia and introducing the European utopia to the Iranian society. The utopia was based on a new understanding of Iranian society from the progress and development concepts and prepared their sociological and insightful minds for the formation of the Constitutional era.

O. Ghaderzadeh, K. Piri

Abstract During the recent years, suicide has increased dramatically among the Abdanani youths. To describing the experience and understanding suicide and phenomenal world and the consequences of this action is of great importance in gaining full knowledge of the world-life of the youths. This research is conducted based on qualitative method and existentialist phenomenology is used to carry out the field research; the data are analyzed using colaizzi method. The findings indicate that those who committed suicide have seen it as a facilitation, breaking with tradition, and escaping reality .Therefore, different feelings and understandings of suicide have developed among the subjects under study, ranging from accepting to rejecting suicide. The participants’ experience and understanding of phenomenal world, implies despair and continuity of calamities. Suicide has different consequences and effects on the organic body of those committing it which can be categorized under two main topics: “fragility of the physical body” and “phenomenal isolation of the body”. Semantic constructs suggest that those committing suicide are experiencing a complicated, unsafe and problematic world-life.
