Article acceptance process

  • The received articles are first reviewed by the editor and after identifying the appropriateness of the subject and the general idea of each article with the scientific procedure of the journal, the original article is presented in the first meeting of the editorial board. This step is done within one to two weeks after receiving the article.
  • All articles submitted will be investigated at the very first meeting of the editorial board so that if the subject and content of the article is deemed appropriate and its importance is given priority, it will be placed in the reviewing process; otherwise, the author will be notified of rejecting the article.
  • The editorial board normally appoints three reviewer to evaluate each article at the same meeting.
  • At the beginning of the reviewing process, the main criterion for accepting (or not accepting) the article depends on the evaluation of the reviewers.
  • Although the evaluation period of the article is considered to be a maximum of one month, but in practice, the respected reviewers consider this opportunity as a minimum and a number of them do their evaluation within a month. Therefore, different procedures for the evaluation of the reviewers is followed up and received, and sometimes after a month or two, the reviewer of the article is inevitably changed. Obviously, each article needs expert review according to the subject of the field and even its research method, and not every article can be sent to every reviewer.
  • Each reviewer may find the article inadmissible for publication (approximately 50% of ratings are such); Or make its acceptance conditional on amendments; Or in very exceptional cases, consider it available for printing and publishing in its current state.
  • If 2 out of 3 appointed reviewers consider the article acceptable, corrective suggestions will be sent to the author as soon as possible to apply them in the article.
  • After the suggestions have been made, if the comments needed for reform have been substantial, the amended version shall be sent again to one of the three relevant reviewer to confirm the adequacy of the amendments. If the corrections are normal or formal (to speed up the function of shortening the reviewing process), it will be done by the editor.
  • The average time from the initial submission of the article to the evaluation of the reviewers and the implementation of the proposed corrections is about 4 months (provided that the correction of the article is not substantial).
  • Finally, the revised articles to be published in a journal issue will be submitted to the editorial board and the editorial board will announce the final approval of the article based on the quality of the reviewers' evaluation and corrections, and at this time the official and final acceptance of the article is announced to the author/ authors.
